Anime Club: A Registered Student Organization at the University of Texas at Austin

Welcome to the Anime Club at the University of Texas at Austin!

For the past 29 years, we have been providing anime fans at UT a place to meet, socialize, and watch anime together. From classics of the medium to the latest titles from Japan, our weekly screenings have something for everyone!

We meet every Friday evening at 7:00 PM in Welch Hall, room 1.316. We meet throughout the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, with the exception of exam weeks, school holidays, and occasional nights off (e.g. when an anime convention is being held nearby). For a complete listing of current events, please see the current semester’s schedules.

All of our events are free and open to the public, so please feel free to come by and check us out! For more information about our organization and activities, and to learn the awesome benefits of full membership, check out the links at the top of the page.

We hope to see you at our next meeting!

“On the foreordained night,” the ancient sages wrote, “all things of Heaven and Earth shall align, and mighty Forces shall be unleashed. Few but the wisest and most good-looking of folk will know of it: But to those chosen few shall all the glories of the universe be given.” Frankly, one cannot help but interpret this as referring to this Friday, September 23rd—the night when we shall celebrate Anime Club’s 29th Birthday.

Yes, my friends, it is true—a night of wonders awaits us all. Free food! Fabulous prizes! And of course an astounding array of anime, as is our way. All of this can be yours, merely by attending! That’s right: One need not even be a member of Anime Club to enjoy the evening’s bounty—though being a full, dues-paying member will surely enhance the sensory experience in ways that a mere attendee could never even imagine. (Membership sign-ups are, of course, available at any of our meetings. You could in fact even pay and sign up twice, if you really wanted to; I’m sure that we could make the logistics work.)

So come, my friends (and strangers who are reading this web site), and join us for our annual birthday celebration! We hope to see you all there!
